As usual when the carnival festivities in Lanzarote are approaching, the Department of Culture and Festivals of the Teguise City Council, headed by Nori Machín, organizes the presentation of all those groups residing in the municipality.

Last Saturday at 9:30 p.m. the event took place in the municipal tent, which began with the performance of the young guest singer Neo Pinto. The singer from Tenerife was accompanied by his ballet and performed some songs framed in the Latin pop genre, counting on the complicity of the public who responded by singing some refrains of songs as well known as the famous "Despacito" by the Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi or "La vida Loca" by Ricky Martin, which were mixed with others of his own creation.

After his performance, a small presentation of Los Diabletes de Teguise appeared in the stalls of the tent. They were running around the corridors trying to intimidate the public by ringing their small cowbells to the cry of Aleua. Next, the stage was completely transformed, giving way to the Los Cumbacheros troupe. This group was founded in 2012 with a total of 64 members distributed between the dance corps and batucada, presided over by Sergio Niz, who is also in charge of the choreographies. The musical direction is in charge of Gesury García, and this year they are wearing the fantasy entitled "Catch Me", created by the designer Borja Abreu.

Los Cumbacheros surprised with a spectacular staging with frenetic rhythms where coordination, lighting and movements where the dancers gave everything during the time of their performance that was reciprocated with loud applause by the public.

Menuda Caña criticizes the Government group for "unfulfilled promises"

Before the members of the Menuda Caña batucada appeared on stage, a voice-over was heard that left the audience speechless, listening attentively to the content that was addressed to the Government team of the Teguise City Council for all the promises unfulfilled in these 23 years, such as the premises.

Menuda Caña was founded in 2000 and this year has 30 members. Juan Gallego is its president, the musical direction is in charge of Miguel Gallego, and they wear the fantasy called "The union of Vikings and Scots" designed by the batucada itself and with the collaboration of Hobby Arte Lanzarote. It should be noted that Menuda Caña carries the work of César Manrique known as "Art in the Street" on its instruments.

And to close the night, the Tenerife singer Neo Pinto returned to the stage.
