The La Geria winery hosted the press conference for the presentation of a new edition of Sonidos Líquidos this Friday. The event was attended by the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo; the mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda; the president of the Regulatory Council of the Designation of Origin Vinos de Lanzarote, Víctor Díaz, and the director of Sonidos Líquidos, Nefatlí Acosta.

This year, the festival welcomes several groups that will present new works, such as Fuel Fandango, with their EP “Romances”, or the Belgians Goose with “Endless”, a combination of electronics, indie pop and rock. On Friday, June 10, the festival will kick off with a free concert in the Plaza de El Almacén, where La Habitación Roja and El Faro will be the stars.

On Saturday, June 11, in addition to Dorian and Fuel Fandango, festival attendees will be able to let themselves be carried away by the musical notes of Goose, Maika Makovski, Shego and Tiburona, the local band Los Iguales and DJ Carballeira.

The organization points out that this festival is among one of the musical events in the country "most aware of the environment" and state that this "positions the Canary Islands, and specifically Lanzarote, at the forefront of preserving our environment, raising awareness and demonstrating that music and sustainability go hand in hand."

“Sonidos Líquidos contributes to the positioning of Yaiza on the international map in the field of culture. Our municipality promotes economic revitalization, local consumption and the creation of economic activity in the areas of culture and sports, which is why we believe this aligns with our objectives,” said the mayor of Yaiza.

“This event responds to the perfect symbiosis that exists between our wine culture and La Geria, and is another way to promote our excellent products," said the president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo. "These qualities could summarize the essence of Sonidos Líquidos since its creation, which came to enrich the island's cultural landscape and with the vocation of projecting itself abroad,” she added.

Finally, the director of Sonidos Líquidos, Neftalí Acosta, expressed his satisfaction at recovering this event "for all lovers of responsible and sustainable music." In his speech, he wanted to thank the involvement of Turismo de Islas Canarias - which could not be present, but "firmly supports" the event - as well as the Regulatory Council, Cabildo de Lanzarote, Ayuntamiento de Yaiza and Ayuntamiento de Arrecife.

Neftalí Acosta also stated that culture and sustainability “go hand in hand from the origin of the festival” and highlighted the international recognitions obtained, such as A Greener Festival and the Iberian Festival Awards. In addition, he recognized the good attitude of the public, who “respects and values the environment in which the event is held.”

In addition, for the second consecutive year, Sonidos Líquidos will be in Fuerteventura and will do so on Saturday, June 4. The event will be held at the Hotel El Mirador de Fuerteventura and its protagonist will be Ángel Stanich Trío, with his particular voice and appearance from another era.

Tickets for the day of the festival and the previous concert on the neighboring island can now be purchased through the official Sonidos Líquidos website. The organization adds that this year they have already held presentation concerts at the Meliá Salinas hotel in Lanzarote, the Alboroto hall in Gran Canaria, at the Aguere Club in Tenerife and at the El Grifo Winery in Lanzarote, with successful attendance on all days.

The organization has arranged a bus service with a price of seven euros round trip and with departures from different points on the Island. Places are limited and parking is prohibited on the La Geria road. There is also the option of attending the event in a private vehicle, but it is only possible to access the festival through the free shuttle bus service. For this reason, the organization enables a parking lot at the entrance to the town of Yaiza, from where departures to the stage will take place every 20-30 minutes.

In order not to miss any detail of everything that happens during these weeks with the Sonidos Líquidos festival, they keep their followers up to date on their social networks, with all the news and surprises.

Sonidos Líquidos is organized by Arenao C.& M. together with the Regulatory Council Vinos de Lanzarote, with the sponsorship of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Turismo de Islas Canarias, Ayuntamiento de Yaiza and Ayuntamiento de Arrecife. In addition, Hotel Meliá Salinas, Sala Alboroto, Aguere Club, Hotel El Mirador de Fuerteventura, Bodega El Grifo, Bodega La Geria, Grupo TSC, Grupo Chacón, Relaxia Resorts, Suntelco, Tickety and Lumar Mantenimiento collaborate.
