To mark the 50th anniversary of its creation, the San Ginés Polyphonic Choir Cultural Association offered the concert "Kcor & Rock" last Friday at the Víctor Fernández Gopar Island Theatre "El Salinero". This concert was presented for the first time in 2015 in the auditorium of Los Jameos del Agua and due to its great acceptance among the attending public, they made the decision to re-edit it and thus give an opportunity to all those who could not enjoy that first staging.

At 8:00 p.m. and directed by Professor José Antonio Elías, the first chords of the song Imagine by John Lenon began to sound with the incorporation of sign language by Caridad Pérez Eugenio. The concert had barely begun, giving way to one of the most rock-rhythmic songs composed by Miguel Ríos entitled Bienvenidos, without a doubt here the large audience came up singing each verse from beginning to end very animated.

During the more than 90 minutes of the concert, the choir members accompanied by guitarists Miguel Calzadilla and Francisco Javier Redondo, Mauricio Botti and Javier Díaz on keyboards, José Luis González on bass and Fabrizio Boscaíni on drums gave it their all, performing songs that have made history by Pink Floyd, The Police, Bob Dylan, The Beatlles, Queen, Irene Cara, John Lenon among others.

For this concert they had the collaboration of soloists Lorena Torres and Ana Lloret. The president of the San Ginés Polyphonic Choir, Andrés Martín, very excited, addressed the public to thank them for their attendance and support by singing with them and applauding each of the songs that were played during the concert and announcing that there are still some more surprises before concluding the events of the 50th anniversary.

For his part, José Antonio Elías, director, congratulated the choir members for having achieved the set objective in such a short time. With the song "We are the World", the concert came to an end, but at the request of the audience standing up, the choir ended with two encores.
