The family of the Rubicón Folklore Group of Yaiza began the festivities in honor of Our Lady of Los Remedios celebrating its "XX Anniversary Festival - A Tour of the 8 Islands".
The event began at 9:00 p.m. in the Plaza de Los Remedios under the watchful eye of the public who, once again, supported the members of the group, filling the allowed capacity. A group that continues under the musical direction of Professor Roberto Gil and Magdalena Cáceres as director of the dance corps, a great connoisseur of our traditional dances. Cáceres had the complicity of each of the dancers, thus ensuring that each of the choreographies displayed on stage lived up to the show.
On this occasion, only the Rubicón family participated in the festival and set themselves the challenge of taking a trip through each of the Canary Islands, choosing the most representative songs and dances of each one. A task that was not easy for its members but pleasantly surprised the public with the staging of its dancers and the musical accompaniment and soloists where everyone together achieved their goal, which was rewarded with the applause of the public who could enjoy such emblematic pieces as seguidillas from Lanzarote, folías from Tenerife, Siote from La Palma, Polka from Fuerteventura, El baile del Vivo from El Hierro, seguidillas from Gran Canaria, Santo Domingo from La Gomera, La Graciosera from La Graciosa. This was the journey carried out by the Rubicón Family to celebrate its XX anniversary festival that ended with an isa parrandera.
