The Lanzarote International Film Festival (FICL) unveils the official poster for its 26th edition, which **will take place between May 13 and 26**. A visual proposal that pays homage to Taxi Driver (Martin Scorsese, 1976), coinciding with the 50th anniversary of one of the most iconic and influential films in the history of cinema. The poster, designed by designer Ana Pedrás of MINN Design Studio, is presented as a cinephile nod to a fundamental title that has marked generations of filmmakers and viewers, reinforcing the festival's link with memory and film cultureThe launch of the poster takes place in a particularly significant context for the event, as it is carried out in parallel with the FICL's presence at the 48th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, the main global showcase for short films. This action underscores the FICL's international vocation and its commitment to the main meeting places of the audiovisual industryThe Minister of Culture of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Jesús Machín Tavío, has highlighted that the FICL "has managed to consolidate itself as a cultural platform with real projection in the main European circuits, placing the island on a professional map that goes far beyond exhibition". In this regard, he underlines that the presence of the event in meetings such as Clermont-Ferrand "reinforces its international dimension and opens new opportunities for connection between creators, industry and territory, favoring the visibility of Lanzarote as a cultural and audiovisual space".In this 26th edition, the Lanzarote International Film Festival has received more than 2,700 short films from 92 countries, a figure that confirms its consolidation as one of the reference festivals in the field of short films.
