The Lanzarote Film Festival continues to reveal details of its intense program of activities, which will turn Lanzarote into a focus of cinematographic and cultural culture between November 21 and December 1, under the discursive axis "Islands".

In this context, the course Filming Sound will be held, which will be taught by Eva Valiño and Alejandro Castillo between November 25 and 29, with a presentation class on Saturday 23 and a closing session on Saturday 30. The workshop is aimed at students in audiovisual fields and professionals, as well as other people who want to deepen their knowledge of sound.

With an eminently practical nature, the workshop pursues the elaboration of a collective film, made exclusively with sound material. After listening to and comparing different films and literary works, a script will be drawn up to share ideas and methods of sound capture and emission, in a territory and in a unique space: the island of Lanzarote.

Photography from the narrative

The director of photography Gina Ferrer, nominated for the Goya for her work in 20,000 species of bees and winner of a Gaudí award, will give the workshop Photography from the narrative in which, for five days, the different ways of exploiting the same subject will be explored: the island. The training includes a brief theoretical introduction and will close with a review of the looks and styles of the participating people.

The course, which will also be taught from November 25 to 29, will try to show the importance of the chosen narrative and the power that an image can give. Value will also be given to each frame, to each moment in which it is shot, to think about what you want to tell and to find the best way to do it.
