The Lanzarote Classical Orchestra continued on Friday with the program corresponding to the "VII Classical Concert Cycle". It was held on the stage of the Arrecife Civic Center and offered the third concert corresponding to the cycle "Music, Woman and Art".
The concert began with the introduction of the fashion designer Margarita Pérez "MargaMod". During her speech, images related to her artistic activity were projected, such as her beginnings in fashion and the different incursions she has made in her life, highlighting those courses aimed at disadvantaged people. Immediately afterwards, the pianist Konstantin Soukhovetski made his entrance on the stage to perform three works by a Basque composer, Emiliana de Zubeldia, born in 1887: La Primavera Vuelve, Souvenir de Biarritz and Trestanzie in una Sonata per "La Música e I'animadelle cose". The risky composition of this composer in the time she had to live in was strikingly striking.
Next, the pianist continued with a magnificent interpretation of the work "Escena Amorosa de Akelarre", by the composer Pascual Aldave, which was very impressive for using, in addition to the keyboard, the soundboard of the piano. The pianist Soukhovetski made a brief stop to thank him for the invitation he had been given to return to Lanzarote, of which he said that he feels truly in love. Then he announced his next two works, by the composer Tchaikowsky, and ended with three works by the composer Strauss, of which the pianist himself made some arrangements, which undoubtedly enhanced these interpretations. The audience rewarded his brilliant performance with resounding applause, giving him an encore by the composer Strauss and saying goodbye with the desire to return to Lanzarote very soon.
The next appointment of the fourth concert will feature the performance of the "String Quintet of the Classical Orchestra of Lanzarote". It will be on Friday the 24th of this month at 8:00 p.m. and works by Mozart, Elgar and Kainnkov will be performed. As for the introduction, it will be given by the choreographer Acerina Hernández Toledo.
