The Art, Culture and Tourism Centers invite the public to discover the artistic and architectural work of the International Museum of Contemporary Art without leaving home. "We are opening the doors of one of our most emblematic centers virtually so that the public can enjoy one of the largest collections of abstract art from the second half of the 20th century in the Canary Islands," says the CEO of the Centers, Benjamín Perdomo.
Thus, the user can access the International Museum of Contemporary Art, MIAC-Castillo de San José through the link https://mpembed.com/show/?m=TNP4UB5P3qj&mpu=78, which proposes a 3D visit to the facades and the views of the bay of Naos offered by the roof of the fortress and a tour of its interior to discover and enjoy a collection that includes works by artists such as Pancho Lasso, Manolo Millares, Juan Hidalgo, Pepe Dámaso, Tapies, Mompó, Zöbel and César Manrique himself, among many others.
The Centers emphasize that tradition, art, culture and innovation go hand in hand in this initiative, which seeks to disseminate the legacy that hangs in the old 18th century military fortress, transformed into a museum by the mind of César Manrique to "promote, gather and exhibit the most significant works of modern artistic creation".
