The week starts full of cultural events. In cinema, the Modern Times Festival returns with the screening of Fausto and Natalia Nikolaeva on piano. Also, El Almacén offers the film Apuntes para una ficción consentida by Spanish author Ane Serrat Ituarte.
The Desidia Urban Art Festival continues with a talk on this discipline in the Canary Islands, and José Carlos Campos' surrealist cabaret based on the work of Agustín Espinosa Lancelot 38 7 is presented.
Of course, the Los Dolores festival takes center stage this week with a multitude of cultural events in Mancha Blanca, such as a comedy show with Juanito Panchín, the Crafts Fair, the Nanino Díaz Cutillas Folkloric Gathering, as well as concerts by Malú, La Trova, and the Baile del Romero.
In addition, two exhibitions are inaugurated: Las salas de arte by Rosana, which offers a journey through the artist's past, present, and future, and The Language of Nature by artist Claudie Hüppe.

Fausto. Modern Times Festival
The Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture hosts a new event of the Modern Times Festival, promoted by the Nino Díaz Foundation.
The event screens the silent film gem ‘Fausto’ (Faust – Eine deutsche Volkssage, 1926), directed by F. W. Murnau. Pianist Natalia Nikolaeva provides live musical accompaniment, improvising and performing the soundtrack on the piano in front of the screen, as was done a century ago.

Apuntes para una ficción consentida
The Buñuel Cinema at El Almacén presents Apuntes para una ficción consentida, by Spanish director Ana Serret Ituarte. The film tells the story of Lea Grand, a Swiss actress lost in Madrid who must find her way of being an actress in a country where she was not born. She will have the help of disparate characters who cross her path: a young actress, her ex-partner, a mute pianist, the neighbor, or a nurse specializing in bats.

Architectural Heritage and Urban Art in the Canary Islands
This round table, within the framework of the Desidia Festival, will address different points of view regarding the architectural heritage of the Canary Islands and its relationship with new forms of artistic intervention and expression in public spaces.
The influence that urban art has exerted in recent years will be especially analyzed, as well as its capacity to transform the perception, use, and identity of urban spaces. Marta González, Paula Calavera, and Elena García (Espacio Lapanera) participate. Moderated by Mare Cabrera.

Lancelot 28º-7º. Surrealist cabaret
A contemporary look at the surrealist universe of Agustín Espinosa that Lancelot, 28º-7º brings to the stage through cabaret, music, and humor. A proposal that connects avant-garde, territory, and reflection from a perspective as provocative as it is current.
The proposal takes its poetic universe and its idea of an invented island to build a cabaret where word, electronic music, lyrical singing, and performance meet.

Lanzarote Craft Fair
The Lanzarote Craft Fair is the most prestigious gathering of craftswomen and craftsmen on the island and one of the most relevant fairs in the Canary Islands.
It is held annually in Lanzarote coinciding with the celebration of the feast of Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores, the island's patron saint, in the town of Mancha Blanca, and aims to promote the sale of products and disseminate artisanal manifestations.

The art rooms by Rosana
The exhibition proposes a journey through the artist's past, present, and future through photographs, personal objects, instruments, audiovisual material, art, and participatory experiences.
From the historic cover of Lunas Rotas — into which the visitor can enter and become part of the image — the exhibition covers some of the great moments of her career and the mark her songs have left on different generations and places in the world.

The Language of Nature
The El Aljibe Hall in Haría hosts, from September 12 to October 3, 2026, the exhibition “The Language of Nature. Earth · Water · Fire · Wind”, by artist Claudie Hüppe.
The exhibition, in acrylic painting and mixed media, invites visitors to pause, observe, and listen to the processes that shape the landscape: the water that transforms stone, the wind that modifies shapes, and the fire that originates new earth.

Baile del Romero
After the arrival of the pilgrims in the romería, the festival grounds host the traditional Baile del Romero. The evening will be enlivened by live performances from the groups Pal Porrón, Tinasoria, Son del Norte, La Polvajera, and Pa'lante, who will bring the touch of dance and tradition to the night.
