The Arrecife Civic Center is the venue chosen by the management of the Classical Orchestra of Lanzarote to carry out the "VI Arrecife Classical Concerts Cycle".

The third concert held last Friday featured the German pianist Natalia Nikolaeva and the flutists Charina Quintana from Gran Canaria and the Italian Giovanni Mugnuolo. The program began with La Sonámbula for piano and two flutes by the composer Franz Dooppler followed by the Sonata in G minor by Rietz and the Three Duets by Mendelssohn and Lachner by Boehm. Natalia Nikolaeva performed Chopin's Ballad No. 4 in F minor with the introduction of a poem written by Marcel Proust dedicated to the composer. The Italian flutist Giovanni Mugnuolo, with piano accompaniment, performed Tchaikovsky's work, Lensky's Aria from the opera EugenOnegin.

Throughout the concert, a selection of pictorial images was projected by Piedad del Río. In the final work, Fantasía Brillante, on the opera Leonora by Saverio Mercadante by the composer Rabboni, the three musicians participated making a brief introduction to explain to the public that it was the first time that this score was performed in Spain. The first had been a few months before in Italy, a score rescued by the Mercadante Foundation of which the flutists are ambassadors.

This part of the concert had an interesting addition in which the Argentine painter based in Lanzarote, Iván Tempera, made an acrylic painting in a record time of 16 minutes, the time that the musical work lasted and where the face of the composer Saverio Mercadante was immortalized.

The musicians, very grateful for the applause that the public gave them throughout the concert, presented a piece by Rigoletto.
