The Argana Alta Festivities in honor of María Auxiliadora, organized by the Department of Festivities of the Arrecife City Council, began last Friday, May 17th, with the traditional reading of the proclamation by Salvador Medina and Tanausú Quintero. These festivities, which will extend until Saturday, May 25th, feature a wide variety of events for the whole family.
From the Department of Festivities of the Arrecife City Council, Echedey Eugenio, has highlighted the "importance" that the patron saint celebrations have for all the neighborhoods of the capital and has clarified that the objective of the Area he directs is that "the whole family can enjoy the programmed events". It is also necessary to remember the "solidarity component" of these Argana Alta festivities, which have been organized in collaboration with the association 'La vida es Zuaina' and the neighborhood collective 'Argana Viva', since during the days of celebration food is being collected in the sociocultural center, which will be destined to the Soup Kitchen of Calor y Café.
Throughout the weekend, the residents of the neighborhood and visitors have enjoyed the performance of Los Lola, children's workshops, a Zumba masterclass, the Fiesta Dj Fran Mix, and various animation activities. This Monday, among other activities, a radio workshop was held, and the playback 'Repartiendo Ilusiones'; and for the coming days, the program includes more children's workshops, the playback for adults 'Alegría', and the performance of Pepe Benavente.
There will also be an Inclusive Afternoon with the participation of Creciendo, Adislan, el Cribo and Adexi, and the playback for adults 'Simpatía', the traditional mass and procession on the Big Day, the show 'Barrios con Encanto', and will culminate with the expected Young Night. Echedey Eugenio invites the entire population to join and continue enjoying festivities that promise to continue being a space for meeting, fun and solidarity.
