The artist from Lanzarote, Rosana Arbelo, better known as Rosana, has spoken this Tuesday on the microphones of Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero to talk about her participation in the San Ginés Festivities. The internationally renowned singer is also a prophet in her land and is responsible for offering the opening speech that will start this Friday, August 11th. She has also announced that there will be surprises.
Just a few months ago, the singer also became a Favorite Daughter of Arrecife, in addition to her participation in one of the most important celebrations on the island. "It is something magical, special, and a dream of so many things that one dreams of since childhood, and to see that, suddenly, they are being fulfilled and encountering a lot of different emotions," she confessed on the morning show Buenos Días, Lanzarote.
"I feel spoiled, but happy for these moments that my land gives me," she added. For the artist, the request from the Arrecife City Council to become the herald of the festivities was experienced with great emotion and, as one of her famous songs says, "without fear," although she admits that she is "a disaster" in this type of event. However, she confesses that "I saw that everyone was just as crazy as I was, the possibility of not doing a typical opening speech, but having a fun, different encounter, really energized me. I'm like a motorcycle, eager for Friday to arrive to do all kinds of crazy things."
"Lanzarote is in everything because Lanzarote is me. At that point where one knows that it is the summary of everything one has lived and especially where one comes from and I proclaim it not only in this case but everywhere." As she announced before the radio microphones, Rosana will give the opening speech at the San Ginés festivities and two concerts on the same day.
"This is a very special concert. I am not on tour at the moment nor will I continue touring afterwards. The last time I was in Lanzarote doing a concert, my mother was still there and a brother who is no longer here, I'm going to try not to look at the places where they were. It's going to be a little hard, I'm going to need a little support from the people, but I'm going to make a toast up to the sky," she confessed.
