The spectacular performance of Sebastián Yatra, one of the most acclaimed artists on the international scene, has put the finishing touch to the San Ginés 2024 festivities this Sunday night, and has turned Reducto beach into the epicenter of Latin music.

Organized by the Department of Festivities of the Arrecife City Council, under the direction of the Deputy Mayor, Echedey Eugenio, this concert, which was attended by more than 65,000 people (data provided by the Local Police control unit), has been a gift for all residents and visitors, breaking an attendance record, and becoming one of the most massive and successful events in the recent history of the capital of Lanzarote.

Yatra has left his soul on stage and has performed some of his greatest hits, such as "Traicionera", "No hay nadie más" and "Vuelve", as well as more recent songs from "Dharma", his latest record to date.

In addition, the Colombian singer took the opportunity to announce his next single, entitled "Los domingos", which will be available on all digital platforms at the end of this month, generating even more excitement among his fans.

This concert is part of Sebastián Yatra's world tour in 2024, a very special tour as it marks his return to music after twelve months without releasing a number one.

His return to the stage has been eagerly awaited by his fans, and Arrecife has been one of the cities chosen to be part of a tour that is marking a milestone in his career, reaffirming his position as one of the most influential and beloved artists in Latin music.

"Dharma", Sebastián Yatra's third studio album, released in January 2022, has been a testament to his versatility as an artist, combining genres such as pop, reggaeton and ballad in songs that address themes of love, heartbreak and personal growth. This album, which includes hits such as "Tacones Rojos", "Pareja del Año" and "Melancólicos Anónimos", has further consolidated his position on the international music scene.

After the concert, the Arrecife sky has been illuminated with an authentic pyrotechnic festival, masterfully closing this year's festive program.

The mayor Yonathan de León is pleased with the extraordinary balance achieved with the celebration of the San Ginés festivities and has remarked that, as he said at the beginning of the events, "these festivities will go down in history for marking the new line where great concerts, traditions, sports and fun merge".

Likewise, the first mayor has highlighted that the citizens have seen that the transformation of the maritime front, in the El Reducto area, provides the capital of Lanzarote with a unique setting for the enjoyment of residents and visitors, next to the sea.

Yonathan de León has thanked "all the staff of the City Council, from all the Areas, for their teamwork for the great success of these sangineles in this year where the 225th anniversary of the municipality of Arrecife is commemorated".

In the same vein, the Deputy Mayor and Head of Festivities, Echedey Eugenio, thanks "the great participation of all the people who have come to El Reducto beach to enjoy a memorable night and has highlighted the coordination with the different areas of the City Council (Security, Cleaning, Transport, etc.) so that everything could be developed in a good atmosphere".

"This concert by Sebastián Yatra not only closes some extraordinary festivities, but also highlights Arrecife as the third capital of the Canary Islands", says Eugenio.

This year's San Ginés festivities have been a resounding success, with a varied program that has included cultural, sporting and traditional activities, culminating today, Sunday, August 25, with a magical night.
