Nauzet Machín Rodríguez from Lanzarote, artistically known as El hijo De la Pepi, has released 'Tranquilito y Elegante' with the producer of La voz de la conciencia, Asem Ángel Dayekh.
“It's our first song together. Nauzet has been rapping on the street since he was 13 years old. He was quite a reference in Lanzarote. But his brother, who he made music with, died, and he retired,” says Dayekh.
After more than a decade of leaving music aside, El hijo De la Pepi felt the urge to compose and record again and contacted Dayekh through social media. “We met because we had friends in common and here we are, starting from the bottom and with great enthusiasm,” explains the producer.
“In the song, he talks about his return to start and dedicates it to his brother. He returns to the music scene calm and elegant. And he returns with more knowledge, with more head and with more desire. He is a great guy, very kind and super hardworking,” details Dayekh.
El hijo De la Pepi chose the artistic name in honor of his mother, Pepi. “She is a very charitable woman who helps everyone,” says Dayekh. “And in honor of her, he wanted to be called that,” he adds.
Dayekh points out that he and El hijo De la Pepi share a passion for various musical genres. “We listen to everything, not just rap. In the end, listening to other musical styles allows you to adapt other melodies to what you do,” highlights the producer.
Currently the song is available on YouTube, “but from February 1st it will be released on the rest of the platforms,” explains the producer of La voz de la conciencia. “And the second song is already in the oven,” concludes Dayekh.
