La Batucada Villa Pipol will once again be an ambassador for the Lanzarote carnival in Romania, where they will participate in the B-Fit in the Street 2023 in its capital. They will repeat for the third time in this festival, after the participations in 2017 and 2018, arousing great expectation among the Romanian attendees and those arriving from other countries. They will be the only representatives of our country in the event.
After three years of rest, one of the most important street art festivals in Europe returns, transforming the Romanian capital into a street theater scene with performances by native and foreign groups, from France, the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain, among others. This is its twelfth edition and is organized by the Bucharest City Council.
More than 200 artists will liven up the streets and squares for three days with performances for all tastes and ages, with street theater, aerial acrobatics, live music and water shows.
Emblematic places such as Piata Universitatii, Piata Revolutiei, Revolution Square, George Enescu Square or the well-known Calea Victoriei, will be transformed into improvised stages where the performances and shows of the Lanzarote group will be experienced by the attendees. Once again, our island and our carnival will cross our borders with the longest-running Batucada on the island, Villa Pipol.
