Good Franco, the musical project led by Fran de Armas, has released this Friday Lo que fuimos, his new single whose music video has been recorded in Lanzarote.
It is a track of indie rock and synth-pop that rides between the nostalgia of 80s ballads and modern production, with clear references to bands like The War on Drugs or Gorillaz.
Furthermore, according to the artist, the release is accompanied by a music video with a "very intimate" aesthetic shot entirely in the landscapes of Lanzarote by director Richard Cavero, thus marking his third collaboration with the band.
Lo que fuimos moves in that blurred border where the nostalgia of classic 80s ballads meets the avant-garde of modern production. Built on a constant rhythm, the single channels the grief for the loss of a life partner.
Far from dwelling on lament, Good Franco transforms absence into an electric catharsis through instrumentation rich in textures, where enveloping guitars and synthesizer layers play a fundamental role, reminiscent of the atmosphere of bands like The War on Drugs or the versatility of Gorillaz.
Designed to become the definitive moment that closes a festival, the track grows from deep intimacy to explode into an epic finale. With this release, Good Franco not only demonstrates his compositional maturity but also his ability to fuse music and image in a soundscape that comforts and liberates.
