Gloria Esther Sepúlveda won the third edition of the song festival 'Altavista Canta' which was held on Saturday night on the stage installed in Los Luchadores Park. Inma Sepúlveda and Maia Ojeda took second and third prize respectively.

An event that also had a lot of participation from the residents of the neighborhood who have attended all the events of the program of the festivities in honor of their patron saint, San Antonio María Claret.

On this occasion, the contest featured the participation of 10 performers who sang different musical genres. All were accompanied by five professional musicians directed by Professor Manuel Mauri, also responsible for the musical arrangements. Each singer sang a song that was closely followed by the seven members of the jury, composed of professionals and experts in the world of music, aesthetics and staging.

After the participation of the 10 participants and while the jury retired to deliberate, the public was able to enjoy the performance of the singer Yosán Pereda, a young Cuban based in Lanzarote, a great professional endorsed by his work on stages and party rooms, guitarist, bassist and composer, is the author of his first album entitled 'La vida es Hoy'. In his speech, Yosán conquered the public by making them participate in the songs, accompanying them in the refrains of some of the songs he performed.

The night advanced and the moment most awaited by the 10 participants arrived, as well as by the public eager to know the verdict, a moment in which the president of the jury handed over the minutes to reveal the best kept secret of the night. Immediately afterwards, the 10 performers took the stage and each received a trophy for their participation and the jury's decision was revealed.

Firstly, the Councilor for Citizen Participation, Cathaysa Suárez, presented Maia Ojeda with the third prize, which consisted of 200 euros, a trophy and a diploma. The President of the Padre Claret de Altavista Neighborhood Association, Mari Carmen Santa Cruz, presented the second prize, valued at 300 euros, a trophy and a diploma to Inma Sepúlveda, and finally, the Councilor for Festivities of the Arrecife City Council, Echedey Eugenio, presented Gloria Esther Sepúlveda with the first prize, valued at 500 euros, a trophy and a diploma.

Currently, Altavista is the only town in Lanzarote where song festivals are held with live music, achieving a higher quality for the performer and for the attending public, where the musical chords make each song sound with supreme quality.

The festival came to an end with the performance of the winner, Gloria Esther Sepúlveda, who, surrounded by her colleagues, performed the winning song 'Que hablen de Mí' by the author Francy.
