The San Juan Bautista festival program in Haría starts this Friday, June 7, and the main activities include the XXVIII Pilgrimage, on Saturday, June 15, and the Night of Fire with the burning of Facundo, on June 23. The Department of Festivities of the Haría City Council, led by Alberto León, has prepared extensive activities to celebrate the festivities this 2024, which will last until June 24. The cultural activities will be varied and will also offer a diverse leisure offer for all ages.
The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, highlights the importance of this festival in the municipality that combines culture, tradition and devotion and that this year has a wide and varied program of activities aimed at all audiences.
For his part, the Councilor for Festivities of the municipality, Alberto León, specifies that this Friday, June 7, the proclamation of the festivities will be read by the former first deputy mayor between 2015 and 2019, José Pérez Dorta. "This act, held at the La Tegala Sociocultural Center, at 9:00 p.m., will begin our endearing celebrations," he adds.
Among the highlights of the program are the XXVIII Pilgrimage, which will take place on Saturday, June 15, with the participation of parrandas and folk groups from the municipality, and the traditional Fire with the burning of Facundo, on the 23rd.
