The Department of Festivities of the Arrecife City Council, led by Deputy Mayor Echedey Eugenio, announces that the theme chosen for the 2025 Carnival will be the magical world of Disney.
This decision was the result of a popular vote in which the theme related to The Walt Disney Company and its extensive production of content, characters, products and experiences obtained 22% of the votes, surpassing the other proposed themes.
The Deputy Mayor and head of the Department of Festivities, Echedey Eugenio, has expressed his satisfaction with the involvement of citizens in voting for their favorite allegory, and conveys his gratitude.
“The people of Arrecife have chosen, and now the City Council will begin to work along those lines, preparing the city and counting on all groups and associations, as has been done until now, so that the capital of Lanzarote once again has carnivals worthy of the third capital of the Canary Islands. The capital's carnival must be a reflection of the tastes and preferences of our people. This is a participatory festival where each person counts and we are committed to working in a coordinated and joint manner to make it a success,” he said.
The world of Disney, chosen as the theme for the 2025 Carnival, encompasses a vast and rich collection of stories, characters and magical universes that have captured the imagination of generations.
From the iconic characters of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, to princess stories like Cinderella, Snow White and Elsa from Frozen, as well as exciting adventure stories like Toy Story, The Lion King and Pirates of the Caribbean, Disney offers endless possibilities to create a Carnival full of fantasy and fun. This theme will allow participants and spectators to immerse themselves in an atmosphere full of color, music and magic, evoking the essence of classic and contemporary Disney stories.
With this election, the Department of Festivities is committed to creating a festive and magical atmosphere that captures the essence of the chosen allegory, ensuring that all residents and visitors of Arrecife enjoy an unforgettable Carnival in 2025.
“The collaboration and participation of all groups and associations will be essential to achieve this objective and continue making the Arrecife Carnival a benchmark in the Canary Islands,” insists Echedey Eugenio.
