The Acatife Popular Music Group, on Sunday morning, pleasantly surprised the visitors who come to Teguise on the occasion of the Popular Market.
At 11.30 hours to the souk of the mother church of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe next to the centenary tree, the 30 members directed in the musical part by Alejandro Machín and in the voices by José Antonio Elías began the concert reviewing some of the songs already recorded on the 8 albums they currently have and preparing what will be their ninth for next year.
As soon as the first musical notes sounded, the numerous public that gathered in the vicinity started their mobiles, some to record, others to take the corresponding photos and many approached the two young collaborators dressed in peasant clothing to buy their latest work recorded live in Los Jameos del Agua entitled 'Lanzarote, my town and César'. with 14 songs, some of which were played in the concert such as: Bucherito, Timple de Mar, Las Plañideras, Corazón de Barro, El diablo de Timanfaya or Soy Canario, among others.
Acatife is fully preparing the repertoire of carols for the upcoming Christmas performances, the first of which is on December 12 and within the 'Isleña Christmas' program, they will perform in the Plaza de las Naciones in Puerto del Carmen continuing through different stages until completing what is scheduled.
