The detainee for burning more than 100 containers in Lanzarote is released on charges

The arrested man partially acknowledged the charges against him

The judge of the Court of Instruction number one ordered the release with charges of the man accused of setting fire to 118 containers in Lanzarote, according to the press office of the TSJC. He is accused of a continued crime of damage by fire that can be punished by between one and three years in prison.

The National Police arrested him in Yaiza on October 21 and he was brought to justice on Monday, October 24 and partially acknowledged the charges against him, being released without precautionary measures. 

He is a 41-year-old man with a home in Playa Honda who used a bicycle as a means of transport with which he traveled through the coastal areas, avenues and bike lanes, to commit the crimes and return immediately to his home.
