Relatives have reported that a CD Tahíche coach carried out "repeated weigh-ins without specific authorization" and "exercised verbal violence and reprisals against children" who were then eight and nine years old. These relatives have stated that the complaints they sent to the club "included shouting and humiliating expressions" and that they also requested an investigation into the background of conflicts attributed to the coach in other teams.

The Teguise City Council, with the intervention of the Sports Councilor, mediated in the conflict. The coach's departure was agreed upon, and the following season was to start from scratch. However, following the parents' complaints, two children were excluded from the club. We have a recording in which the president links their exclusion to the family's complaints. We believe the children have been doubly victimized: by the treatment reported last season and by the expulsion this season.

The relatives point out that this situation has been reported to the Court and complaints have also been filed with the Ombudsman and the Higher Sports Council. This situation was also communicated to the Canary Islands and Interinsular federations of Las Palmas, the RFEF, and the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

In this regard, the relatives point out that the Canary Islands Federation has known about the claims since approximately May and that the RFEF has referred them to the Canary Islands federative sphere. Despite the communications and efforts made, they report that they still "do not sufficiently know" what has been investigated and what effective measures have been adopted. "We feel helpless," they add.

They question how minor delegates function

Thus, they report possible breaches of LOPIVI, which "requires specialized training, protocols, and protection mechanisms." At the same time, they demand that the Canary Islands Federation explain "how it verifies the preparation and performance of minor protection delegates." Collecting names and surnames without verifying that preparation does not guarantee compliance with these obligations.

These relatives have demanded that the Teguise City Council, the Lanzarote Island Council, and the Government of the Canary Islands investigate the facts, check the protection controls, and review the subsidies granted to the club. "Public money requires supervision and accountability; we ask that the responsibilities and consequences be determined," they added.

Furthermore, they indicate that they are studying new complaints and are even considering transferring the case to FIFA." This case poses a serious problem in grassroots football: what protection do children receive when their families report them," they added. "We will not stop until the facts are clarified and the corresponding responsibilities are determined," they conclude.
