About thirty people gathered on the afternoon of this Tuesday, December 27, at the doors of the Arrecife Palace of Justice to demand justice for Romina Celeste Núñez Rodríguez, the young Paraguayan woman murdered in 2018.
¡Justice now!”, “¡Justice for Romina!” and ”¡Enough is enough!" are some of the slogans expressed by the people who gathered to demand that Romina's husband, accused of killing her, burning and desecrating her corpse in the early morning of 2019 in her house in Costa Teguise, not be released from prison on January 16, as that day marks four years since his preventive imprisonment pending trial.
Romina's mother followed the live broadcast of the protest from Paraguay through the Facebook account of the platform Todos somos Romina, which organized the mobilization with the support of the 8-M Lanzarote Platform and the Social and Cultural Association for Women Mararía. Miriam Rodríguez thanked through a message of a whatssap message the support she is receiving from Lanzarote.
