A pioneering hotel in Puerto del Carmen celebrates 40 years and its renovation

The establishment has recently renovated its facilities with a "new aesthetic, more vegetation, and spaces that prioritize well-being and tranquility"

The Relaxia Lanzaplaya hotel in Puerto del Carmen has just turned 40 years old and celebrated an institutional event on its premises which was attended by representatives of the tourism and business sectors, and local authorities, according to a note sent to the media.

The ceremony was attended by Héctor Pulido, commercial director of Relaxia, and Miguel del Barrio, director of the establishment, who welcomed the attendees and recalled the history of the hotel, "a symbol of Canarian hospitality and commitment to the tourist quality of Lanzarote."

During the event, Juan Luis Pérez, CEO of Relaxia, highlighted the group's role as a promoter of responsible and sustainable tourism, while Javier Pérez, president of the Pérez Moreno Group, emphasized the "investment and human effort that has allowed us to maintain the essence of the establishment after four decades of evolution."

The anniversary's sponsor, María del Carmen Pérez, CEO of Solinca, gave an emotional speech in which she recalled the beginnings of Relaxia Lanzaplaya and its impact on the tourist development of Puerto del Carmen. For her part, Susana Pérez, president of ASOLAN and the Lanzarote Tourism Federation, highlighted the hotel's trajectory as an "example of stability, commitment, and constant adaptation to the new challenges of the sector."

The event concluded with a tour of the recently renovated facilities, which feature a modern aesthetic, more vegetation, new signage, and spaces that prioritize the well-being and tranquility of guests. In line with its philosophy of respect for the environment, Relaxia Lanzaplaya has the Travelife seal, an international certification that guarantees its commitment to environmental and social sustainability.The establishment, with 168 suites, uses renewable energies, including geothermal energy and photovoltaic panels, which significantly reduce its carbon footprint. In addition, Ayagaures Medioambiente, the environmental division of the Pérez Moreno Group, collaborates closely with Relaxia in waste management, the maintenance of garden areas, and the optimization of the use of renewable energies, thus reinforcing the group's environmental strategy. As part of its commitment to the community, Relaxia Lanzaplaya also announced the celebration of the first OPEN DAY Relaxia, on November 14, an open day to promote employment in the tourism sector and bring the group's job opportunities closer to training centers, institutions, and people looking for employment.
