The hotels of Lanzarote earned 60 million euros in June, 12.9% more than in the same month of the previous year, when they billed 53.2 million euros, according to figures provided by the Lanzarote Data Center.
The revenue of the island's hotel establishments increased both due to the increase in rates, 10.6% compared to June 2025, and the growth in the number of guests, 4.1% more.
On average, 133.88 euros per night were charged compared to the 121.01 euros registered in June of the previous year, which represents a year-on-year increase of 10.6% in average rates.
The number of travelers staying in the island's hotels increased by 4.1%, equivalent to about 6,800 more people, to a total of 172,740 tourists staying in hotel establishments during last June.
Overnight stays in hotels also grew, albeit more moderately, by 0.8%, increasing from 976,846 in June 2025 to 984,581 this year.
Hotel occupancy (81.37%) was slightly lower than that registered a year earlier (84.17%), although this decrease was not due to a drop in demand, but to an increase in accommodation capacity. During June, 42,676 hotel beds were offered, compared to the 40,583 available in the same month of 2025, a 5.2% increase.
Employment again registered a significant increase in hotel establishments, with a growth of 14.7% compared to the previous year. Thus, staff numbers reached 11,007 workers during last June, compared to 9,598 employees in the same month of 2025.
