The airports in Aena's network in Spain closed 2025 with 321,587,316 passengers, 3.9% more than in 2024; they managed 2,696,414 aircraft movements, 4.1% more than in 2024; and transported 1,372,394 tons of cargo, 7.2% more than the previous year.
In 2025, a record number of passengers was set at César Manrique with a total of 8,920,901 passengers, a 2.4% increase compared to the previous year. In the month of December, a total of 719,629 passengers were recorded at Lanzarote's César Manrique, a decrease of -1.9% compared to December 2024.
Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport registered the highest number of passengers in 2025 with 68,179,054, representing a 3% growth compared to 2024. It is followed by Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, with 57,483,036 (+4.4% compared to 2024); Palma de Mallorca, with 33,806,427 passengers (+1.5%); Málaga-Costa del Sol, with 26,760,549 (+7.4%); Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández, with 19,950,394 (+8.5%); Gran Canaria, with 15,826,553 (+4%); Tenerife Sur, with 13,969,678 (+1.7%) and Valencia, with 11,847,527 passengers, which is 9.6% more than in 2024.
In addition to César Manrique, **there were also record passenger numbers at 22 other airports in the country**: Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, Palma de Mallorca, Málaga-Costa del Sol, Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández, Gran Canaria, Tenerife Sur, Valencia, Sevilla, Ibiza, César Manrique-Lanzarote, Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna, Bilbao, Fuerteventura, Menorca, Asturias, La Palma, Melilla, La Gomera, Badajoz, Córdoba, Son Bonet, and Ceuta HeliportIn terms of operations, the airport with the most movements in 2025 was Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, with a total of 430,616 (+2.5% compared to 2024), followed by Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, with 360,786 flights (+3.7%); Palma de Mallorca, with 246,486 (+1.4%); Málaga-Costa del Sol, with 186,990 (+6.9%); Gran Canaria, with 142,884 (+1.7%); and Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández, with 126,081 landings and takeoffs (+8.4%).
2025 was the year with the most operations across Aena's entire network in Spain and at 19 airports: Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, Palma de Mallorca, Málaga-Costa del Sol, Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández, Gran Canaria, Tenerife Sur, Sevilla, Ibiza, César Manrique-Lanzarote, Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna, Fuerteventura, Menorca, La Palma, Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén, Melilla, El Hierro, La Gomera, Logroño, and Son Bonet.
In 2025, a record was also set for freight transported on Aena's network. The airport that managed the largest volume of cargo was Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, with 840,331 tons, 9.6% more than in 2024. This represents the year with the most total commercial cargo traffic in the history of the Madrid infrastructure, as well as Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, with 200,741 tons (+10.5%), which also registered a historic cargo record. They are followed by the airports of Zaragoza, with 182,886 tons (+0.8%), and Vitoria, with 69,035 tons (-2.1%).
In December 2025, Aena's airports in Spain handled 22,445,321 passengers (3.4% more than in the same month of 2024); 191,763 aircraft movements were operated (+1.5%) and 123,153 tons of cargo were transported, 10.9% more than in December 2024.
