Hotels and tourist apartments earn 14% more in Lanzarote than a year ago

The increase has been greater among tourist apartment businesses than in hotels

The hotels and tourist apartment establishments in Lanzarote earned an average of 98.83 euros per room this January, which represents an increase of 14% compared to January of last year, when the average was 86.69 euros, according to data collected in the Tourist Accommodation Survey of the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (ISTAC), published by the Lanzarote Data Center.

The year-on-year increase was much greater in tourist apartment establishments, which experienced a growth of 27.1%. The average per room was 73.49 euros, when in January of last year it had been 57.82 euros.

The price of hotel rooms increased by an average of 9.1% and reached almost 110 euros on average this January. The same month last year it cost an average of 100.76 euros.

In 2022, hotels and tourist apartment establishments in Lanzarote exceeded 100 euros on average per room in April, July, August, October and December.
