Has the number of arrivals at Lanzarote airport reached its peak?

The slight decrease in September and the meager growth in October seem to indicate flat growth, although the measurement is based on the large increases of the last two years

Lanzarote's César Manrique Airport recorded 761,426 passengers in October, representing a 0.4% growth compared to the same month last year, according to data provided by Aena.  

The airports of the Canary Islands as a whole recorded a total of 4,618,986 passengers in October, 2.3% more than in the same month of 2024.

Of the total number of travelers registered, 4,597,959 correspond to commercial flight passengers, of which 1,908,103 traveled on domestic connections (2.9% more than in October of last year) and 2,689,856 on international ones (1.8% more than in the same month of 2024).In addition, 40,750 aircraft movements were managed, an increase of 1.6%, and 2,958 tons of cargo were transported, 2.1% less than the previous October.

Gran Canaria Airport registered the highest number of passengers with 1,324,466, representing an increase of 1.8% compared to the same month in 2024. 

Next is Tenerife Sur Airport, with 1,163,847 passengers (+1%); Following Lanzarote, Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna, with 620,631 (+5.6%); Fuerteventura, with 588,141 (+5.5%); La Palma, with 122,962 (+2.3%); El Hierro, with 26,521 (-3.9%); and, with the highest percentage growth, La Gomera with 10,992 passengers and 9% more than the same month in 2024.

So far this year, Canary Islands airports have registered 45,263,582 travelers, a 4.6% increase compared to the same period in 2024. 

Of the 45,002,823 commercial passengers, 18,857,689 traveled on domestic flights, a 5% increase, and 26,145,134 traveled on international flights, a 4.5% increase compared to the cumulative figures for the same period last year.From January to October 2025, 401,143 aircraft movements were managed, a 4.2% increase, and 27,160 tons of cargo were transported, a 0.4% decrease compared to 2024
