The number of flights between Lanzarote and Germany this winter amounts to 50, while last season there were 52. Thus, Lanzarote's weekly capacity with the German country goes from 8,932 passengers last year to 8,405 this winter.
The German airline Eurowings, which has the largest offer of flights between the island and Germany, expands its service from 14 frequencies last year to 17 this winter.
Thus, Eurowings adds two new frequencies with Munich and an additional frequency with Frankfurt. The rest of its connections with Berlin, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Stuttgart remain the same as last year.
The second company that offers the most connections from Lanzarote to Germany is Ryanair, even though the Irish airline loses two frequencies with this country.
In reality, Ryanair adds an additional frequency with Düsseldorf, which will have two this winter, and subtracts one from each of the following cities: Bremen, Cologne and Nuremberg, which are left with only one frequency with Lanzarote per week.
Next, Tui, which keeps its 8 frequencies intact, two weekly connections with each of the airports of Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Hannover and one with those of Munich and Stuttgart.
Finally, the weekly flight to Cologne that Hahn Air made last winter has been canceled this winter season.
