In addition to its sun and beaches, Lanzarote has an increasing number of travelers interested in rural tourism in the inland villages, according to the "Rural Tourism Study in Google 2024", conducted by the sector company, Sensación Rural.
The most searched inland Lanzarote towns are San Bartolomé and Yaiza, two locations that attract travelers with their local charm and connection to nature.
In 2024, the island was the subject of a total of 21,000 queries on Google about rural accommodations, representing 11.9% of all searches made in the province of Las Palmas.
Among them, 29.1% of the searches were made in the province of Las Palmas. Next, Madrid (11.6%), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (8.8%), Barcelona (8.2%) and Seville (3%).
According to the study, queries throughout 2024 have experienced monthly variations, with peaks of interest in certain periods of the year. During the month of January, 2,280 searches were recorded, with a decrease in subsequent months until reaching 1,410 searches in December.
However, a constant increase is observed during the months of June to August, reaching the maximum peak of 1,920 queries in August.
This behavior reflects a clear trend of advance planning by travelers, with the majority of searches concentrated in the months prior to summer.
