The Canary Island company CICAR is present at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) in Madrid in 2025 "aligned with the great objective of the Canary Islands at this fair, which is to connect with a tourist who values the preservation of our natural and cultural wealth," said the CEO of the company, Mamerto Cabrera.

Mamerto Cabrera recalled that CICAR created the Audio-guide of the Canary Islands in 2011 "with the purpose of improving the experience of users of its rental cars when traveling around any island of the archipelago." It is an application in several languages that can be downloaded on mobile devices and also includes La Graciosa.

In this way, CICAR contributes to spreading the cultural and natural values of the Canary Islands. It also favors a better interpretation of the Islands by incorporating the varied leisure offer, both public and private, that they have.

On the other hand, the audio-guide promotes the consumption of local products, and offers a series of useful tips for rental car users to contribute to the conservation of each of the islands.

The main novelty that CICAR brings to FITUR is the launch of a reservation application, available on the Apple Store and Google Play, with the aim of simplifying the vehicle rental process for its regular customers.

The CEO of the leading car rental company in the Canary Islands received the Vice President of the Canary Islands, Manuel Domínguez, who was accompanied by the Minister of Tourism of the autonomous executive, Jessica de León. For a few moments, they exchanged impressions on the excellent moment that the Canary Islands tourism industry is experiencing.

Likewise, the CICAR stand hosted the visit of the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, presidents of other Island Councils, mayors of different Canary Island municipalities and other authorities.

FITUR is one of the three major tourism fairs in the world, so attendance is considered mandatory to learn about the trends in the tourism sector in the immediate future. As in past editions, CICAR has its own stand located next to the public institutional representation and the private sector of the Canary Islands Archipelago.
