Lanzarote will have 57,511 air seats between the island and the peninsular territory for next April, which is 27.5% more than in the pre-pandemic era, as reported by Yaiza Castilla, Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce of the Government of the Canary Islands.

In the archipelago as a whole, the offer grows by 5.3%, with a total of 425,000 seats, some 21,000 more than in April 2019.

However, Tenerife is the only island where the number of seats has been reduced, by approximately 8,000 seats, although it is important to mention that it is still the one with the highest air capacity, with 172,322 seats.

The counselor commented in a statement that it is a "very positive" piece of data, but that it should not be taken lightly, since the economic effects of the war between Russia and Ukraine must be taken into account.

To further encourage tourism, the Ministry has launched the national campaign Blessed Holy Week until March 31, with the aim of meeting the demand in the peninsular market and promoting the islands as a destination for disconnection, sun and beach. An action financed by the European Feder funds that has a budget of 150,000 euros.
