A municipality in Lanzarote had all its hotel rooms occupied in February

Lanzarote was the second Canary Island with the longest tourist stay in the second month of the year

99.73% of the hotel rooms in the municipality of Teguise were occupied in February, which is equivalent to a growth of more than 12 percentage points compared to last year, according to data from the latest Hotel Occupancy Survey of the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

Next, Tías, where the occupancy rate per room reached 94.2%, a percentage slightly higher than that achieved during the same month of 2024.

Meanwhile, the 28 hotels in Yaiza had their rooms occupied at 90.44%, six percentage points more than the previous year.

The average stay in Lanzarote fell slightly to 6.66 days, but remains the second longest in the archipelago.

The first is Fuerteventura, where the average stay amounted to 7.1 days. In third place is Gran Canaria, with an average of 6.61 days.

In Tenerife it is 6.06 days, while in La Gomera and La Palma it amounts to 5.96 and 5.92 days respectively.
