The Cabildo of Lanzarote and La Graciosa reinforces its support for young people's access to housing with an additional allocation of 578,000 euros linked to the Young Rental Bonus 2026 call, whose application period remains open until next October 8.
This amount corresponds to the 378,000 euros of remaining funds from the 2025 call, which are incorporated into the new call, and to a direct contribution of 200,000 euros from the Cabildo's own funds. In this way, Lanzarote and La Graciosa have additional resources aimed at expanding the capacity of the Young Rental Bonus and ensuring that the funds available for the island territory can benefit the largest possible number of young people who meet the requirements established in the call.
The president of the Cabildo, Oswaldo Betancort, has pointed out that "the incorporation of these resources responds to the commitment of the island Corporation with policies for access to housing and youth emancipation, especially given the difficulties that young people face in covering the cost of rent".
For his part, the Minister of Housing, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, has highlighted that "the response to housing access difficulties requires coordination and commitment between different administrations. From the Cabildo, we contribute with our own resources to reinforce this call and expand the opportunities for the young people of our island, favoring their emancipation and the maintenance of their habitual residence".
Applications open until October 8
The deadline for submission of applications will remain open until next October 8, 2026. The Cabildo reminds interested parties that they must submit their applications within the established period and consult the complete documentation and requirements through the following link, or in person at the General Registry of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
It should be recalled that the Young Rental Bonus 2026 is aimed at people between 18 and 35 years old and includes an aid of 250 euros per month, for a maximum of 24 months, so the amount can reach 6,000 euros per beneficiary. The call establishes a limit of 900 euros per month for renting a home and 450 euros for renting a room.
