The Government approved last October in the General State Budgets of 2022 a budget of 200 million euros to promote the emancipation of young people, through aid in the payment of rent. It is expected that the executive will approve this measure next week in the Council of Ministers, which is expected to benefit 70,000 young people.
The following may benefit from this aid:
- young people from 18 to 35 years old
- who have an annual income below 24,318 euros.
- The maximum amount they will receive will be 250 euros per month for two years.
- The amount to be received will depend on the income of each of the applicants.
- The maximum amount of rent to receive the bonus is 600 euros per month. However, the text will leave in the hands of the autonomous communities the possibility of extending that limit to 900 euros per month.
