Renting an apartment in Arrecife is 23% more expensive than a year ago

Prices in the capital of Lanzarote are still below the Canary Islands average, but are growing much faster

Prices for renting an apartment in the capital of Lanzarote rose again in August to 11.3 euros per square meter, so an apartment of 100 meters currently costs an average of 1130 euros per month, while in August of last year it was 920. 

This difference is equivalent to an interannual price growth of 23.2%, according to the index of the real estate portal idealista.com.

Rental prices in the capital of Lanzarote are still below the average for the archipelago as a whole, but are growing twice as fast. The average price in the Canary Islands is 14 euros per square meter, 10.8% more expensive than a year ago. 

Rental prices in Arrecife had experienced a slight decrease in July to 11 euros per square meter, after having marked 11.5 euros in June of this year, the historical maximum of the city.
