The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Saborea Lanzarote brand, has recognized the work of the 18 students who currently make up the training cycle of Cooking at CIFP Zonzamas for their dedication and participation in gastronomic fairs such as Madrid Fusión.
On a visit to the center, the Minister of Economic Promotion, Nori Machín, who was accompanied by the Ministers of Youth and Education, Aroa Revelo and Ascensión Toledo, respectively, as well as the Minister of Restoration, Armando Santana, were also able to learn about the work carried out by the students in the pedagogical restaurant Malvasía, open every Thursday and Friday.
The visit began with Saborea Lanzarote presenting chef jackets with their names to the students of the course, as a sign of support and recognition of their daily dedication.
Nori Machín has highlighted the importance of having practical training courses that "show students a real reflection of the work experience they will encounter upon completing their studies". Likewise, she invited the public to visit the Malvasía restaurant, which is managed by the students themselves, to enjoy its gastronomic offerings.
The 18 male and female students from CIFP Zonzamas thanked the councilors for their visit, and valued the opportunity to have training actions that allow them to specialize within the island, highlighting the sustained collaboration between Saborea Lanzarote and the center.
