The Cabildo of Lanzarote moves forward with the approval of its Public Employment Offer (OPE) for the year 2024, as stated in the agreement unanimously adopted in the session of the Island Government Council held on December 26, 2024, an approval that was accompanied by the mandatory technical and legal reports. This OPE has been published this Monday in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas (nº 158 of December 30).
The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, explained that this Public Employment Offer "is a firm step towards the consolidation of a more efficient, transparent and closer administration to the needs of the citizens. We are committed to the professionalization of public services and the creation of stable job opportunities for the residents of Lanzarote."
For his part, the Councilor for Human Resources, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, stressed the compliance in this process with the principles of equality, merit and ability in accessing public service. "We invite all interested parties to actively participate in this selection process," he commented.
This offer includes a total of 15 positions, distributed among positions for civil servants and labor personnel. Specifically, the following positions are offered: General Administration Technician (A/A1, Civil Servant): 9 positions. Monitor (Labor): 1 position. Social Worker (Labor): 1 position. Maintenance Assistant (Labor): 1 position. Graduate (Labor): 1 position. Psychologist (Labor): 1 position. And Music Teacher (Labor): 1 position.
Regarding the reservation of places for people with disabilities, it has been guaranteed that at least 7% of the places offered will be allocated to this group, distributed appropriately according to the functions and characteristics of the positions announced.
Execution and publication of the OPE
The execution of the offer may be carried out in one or several calls, always guaranteeing the efficiency and transparency of the process. Those places that are not filled in a first call may be offered again within the period of validity of the OPE.
Likewise, all official documentation relating to this offer is available in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas and in the Notice Board of the Electronic Headquarters of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
