Nestled in the first Art, Culture and Tourism Center created by César Manrique, the Auditorium of the Jameos del Agua is unique in the world, for many reasons. Within this volcanic complex adapted as a visitor center, the Lanzarote artist decided to culminate the space with the creation of a natural theater, in which a spectacular stone backdrop stands out behind the stage.

This natural auditorium, with capacity for 550 people, is made of basalt stone, which gives it a unique beauty. This set of porous and irregular stones gives the cave a singularity not only in terms of landscape but also in terms of sound, since it offers a magnificent and extraordinary acoustics, with a sound system that the volcano gives as a gift and that is well known by those who have enjoyed this enclave as an artist and as a spectator.

The stage is located inside a section of the volcanic tube, giving it unprecedented beauty and sound, and the seats are positioned following the natural slope of the ground, which goes from the access through the Jameo Grande to the opening of the next Jameo.

The Art, Culture and Tourism Centers of Lanzarote are making an effort so that everyone who lives in Lanzarote or visits it can enjoy this spectacular auditorium, with said entity being one of the institutions that invests the most in culture in the Canary Islands, exceeding one million euros annually in investment in various cultural and entertainment shows.
