The Chamber of Commerce will offer a free course on the installation and maintenance of photovoltaic panels for young people with the aim of introducing them to the world of energy efficiency.
The face-to-face course will last a total of 150 hours and will have three modules that will include the assembly and maintenance of solar photovoltaic installations, energy saving and efficiency, and work at height.
It should be noted that this program is aimed exclusively at young people between 16 and 29 years of age (inclusive) registered in the Youth Guarantee, thus allowing them to acquire knowledge to identify potential energy savings and costs, as well as promote the sustainable development model.
The program, which is part of the Comprehensive Qualification and Employment Program (PICE), will begin on June 3 and end on the 29th of the same month, but registrations are already open on the Chamber's website.
Million-dollar aid for the sector in the Canary Islands
With the countless hours of light that the island of Lanzarote has, and with the constant increase in the electricity bill, this energy could become of great relevance in the coming years.
Specifically, the Canary Islands will receive up to 467 million euros for the Sustainable Energy Strategy in the archipelago, as part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR). In addition, the Government has opened a procedure to collect innovative proposals on energy transition in the Islands, to which it will allocate a budget of 25 million euros.
The Ministry maintains that "an extraordinary opportunity" is opening up for the archipelago, which will allow not only overcoming the crisis and employment, but also the modernization of its economy so that this recovery is green, digital, inclusive and social.
