The Board of Directors of the Port Authority of Las Palmas, on which the port of Arrecife depends, has approved awarding Electronic Trafic S.A. the supply, installation and maintenance services of new access control systems in the Port of Arrecife, for an amount of 611,796.89 euros.
Regarding the Port of Las Palmas, 25% of the businesses located in the Marina have already requested public domain concessions from the Port Authority, after authorization was granted in the Board of Directors last April to extend existing authorizations, grant other temporary ones or concessions to companies that requested it.
In any case, this is a measure that offers legal certainty and guarantees to entrepreneurs for the next three years, which will also allow them to carry out works in their businesses if necessary. "We continue to receive requests from more businesses in the area, which indicates that this measure works, has had a positive response, and entrepreneurs can continue to carry out their activity with absolute tranquility," said the president of the Port Authority, Beatriz Calzada.
Also, at the Board of Directors meeting held this Thursday, the file was approved that will allow opening the award procedure to carry out the execution works of the project "Urbanization Cambulloneros, second phase". In this phase, demolition works of pavements, excavation of the land, laying of pipes, fillings and paving of sidewalks and roads will be carried out. The project has an execution period of eight months and a budget of 709,156.34 euros.
In addition, the approval of the Strategic Noise Map (SNM) of the Port of Las Palmas has been given the green light and the file sent to the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, in order to initiate the procedures for its final approval, as well as to start the work corresponding to the mandatory Action Plan.
Finally, the agreement between the Port Authority of Las Palmas and the Ministry of the Interior for the private occupation by the Civil Guard of its new building has been approved, destined for the provision of customs, tax and surveillance services. This is an infrastructure that has had a budget of three million euros and an execution period of 18 months.
