The priority of the people of Lanzarote for their representatives to invest their tax money is the improvement of hospitals and health facilities.
This is clear from the latest Island Issues Survey, carried out by the Cabildo de Lanzarote on July 12 and 13, which also included among its questions the consultation on the salary that the new president of the island's first institution, Oswaldo Betancort, should receive.
The survey offered respondents eleven investment areas, which they had to score from 1 to 10. Health issues obtained the first position with a score of 9.29.
Next, the people of Lanzarote prioritize investment in educational centers and facilities with an 8.5 and in the improvement of the public water supply network with an 8.34, followed very closely by housing, an area that obtained a priority level of 8.26.
It also obtained a score higher than 8, on the one hand the option of allocating public investment to support the primary sector and on the other, to help families and people in need.
Public transport, renewable energy facilities and the improvement of roads obtained 7.97 points, 7.91 and 7.61 respectively.
The areas that obtained the lowest score for allocating public investments were sports and recreational facilities, which obtained a 7.07 and in last place, at a considerable distance, aid to tourism, which remained at 5.99.
The survey included 300 valid interviews and the organizers consider that it has a margin of error of ± 5.6% and a confidence level of 95.5%.
