Thomsonfly, the reference airline of the large Thomson tourism consortium, has announced that from November 1 it will incorporate a new air route to Lanzarote. Coinciding with the winter season, it will offer places to travel to the island of volcanoes from the British airport of East Midlands.

Guy Stephenson, commercial director of Thomsonfly, has announced to the British press that his airline continues to increase connections to Lanzarote given the enormous interest it arouses among English tourists. Thomsonfly was proclaimed in 2007, by users, "British Travel Awards", (the favorite airline).

To this encouraging news, for the tourism employers of Lanzarote, ASOLAN, is added the statements of Richard Jenner, director of the regional airport of Norwich, who advanced that also the line LTE will continue to unite Lanzarote with this English region from this summer.

For ASOLAN, the tourism employers of Lanzarote, these news predict the recovery of the British tourist market that represents more than 51 percent of the nearly 1,700,000 foreign tourists who visited the island in 2007.

Other British companies such as Monarch, Easyjet and Jet2.com have also announced that they will increase air seats to fly to Lanzarote from the next winter season that begins on November 1.
