In Lanzarote, the 20-cent discount on the price of gasoline has already begun to be applied, although this discount has not been noticed at all gas stations. The bonus is applied directly when making the payment, on the sale price set by each establishment, so everyone is required to reflect it on the invoice. However, in some cases, the rise in previous days has meant that users do not even notice the discount this Friday.
This situation has occurred in the municipality of Yaiza, and in particular in its tourist town, where some gas stations have raised the price more than 20 cents since Wednesday. Thus, although they have applied the discount at the cash register, the result is that the price is the same or even higher than in previous days.
For example, the one at the Playa Blanca station and the one at Combustibles Canarios have seen the price increase up to 23 cents between Wednesday and Friday, with gasoline 95 reaching 1.669 euros per liter, while gasoline 98 and diesel already mark 1.729 and 1.659 euros per liter, respectively, according to data from the Geoportal of the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda.
The Government has announced that the bonus will be extended until June 30, and the Executive will be responsible for contributing 15 cents of the total, while the service stations will be responsible for the remaining 5 cents at a minimum, although large oil companies such as Cepsa, BP and Repsol have announced that they will offer larger bonuses that raise the discount to between 25 and 29 cents, according to reports La Provincia.
In addition, the Minister of Finance and Public Function, María Jesús Montero, announced this Thursday that gas stations will be able to request from April 1 the advance of fuel bonuses to the Tax Agency, an advance that is expected to begin arriving from next week.
As of today, the cheapest gasoline 95 and diesel in Lanzarote are in the SPL of Tías at 1.419 euros and 1.408 euros per liter respectively, and the cheapest gasoline 98 is in the A800-02 of Mácher at 1.495 euros.
