The Minister of Commerce of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Aroa Revelo Betancort, together with the representative of Felapyme, Patricia Morales, presented this Thursday morning, in the Plenary Hall of the Cabildo, a new digital platform to promote local commerce: LanzaroteVirtual.
The Area argues that "this is a cutting-edge tool" that will allow establishments that join to upload the product catalog to the web, make exclusive discounts and promotions, make the consumer participate in all campaigns, as well as execute promotions to boost commerce.
Councilor Aroa Revelo highlighted that the portal “gives continuity to the strategy launched by the commerce area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and Felapyme, focused on improving the positioning and promoting the competitiveness of the commercial sector of Lanzarote”.
Likewise, from Felapyme, Patricia Morales remarked that this project “seeks to advance in the digital transformation of the sector but facilitating an intuitive, simple process with personalized advice, so that businesses on the island feel accompanied and advised in these changes”.
'LanzaroteVirtual' seeks to be "a showcase to give visibility and value to island commerce", through a "easy, attractive and dynamic system", both for the consumer and for the establishments that join the initiative.
Strengthening local commerce
The initiative promoted by the Cabildo seeks to favor "local commerce", delivering paper bags with the insignia of Centro Comercial LanzaroteVirtual, under the umbrella of Consume Lanzarote, until supplies last, thus reinforcing the commitment of small businesses to the environment and improving the shopping experience.
In addition, LanzaroteVirtual will serve as a reference portal for the island's commerce promotion campaigns, incorporating exclusive functionalities for raffles, promotions and actions aimed at giving visibility to local commerce. In the same way, it will serve as an information channel between the Cabildo, Felapyme and local commerce, since through this website news, events and information of relevance and special interest to commerce can be launched.
Starting this Friday, January 24, 2025, businesses that wish to join and be part of this initiative can do so by accessing the “Establishment Registration” tab of the web. As businesses join, all the functionalities of the web will be activated.
LanzaroteVirtual is driven by the experience and success achieved by ArrecifeVirtual, a platform launched in 2023 by the Cabildo through Consume Lanzarote with the collaboration of Felapyme.
