The company that manages airports in Spain, Aena, has published on its website that due to the power outage, there are some incidents at the airports.

The massive blackout in peninsular Spain that occurred this Monday at 11:35 am Canary time and that has also affected Portugal and southern France, has also caused delays in departures to the peninsula from Lanzarote.

An Aena spokesperson has confirmed, however, that "no delay at César Manrique has exceeded two hours."

Aena has also explained that contingency power generators are active at peninsular airports.

The airport manager has included a message for passengers to contact their airlines to find out the status of their flights.
