The ship that connects Lanzarote with Cádiz twice a week, the Volcán de Tinamar, has been completely renovated to offer a more comfortable travel experience, with capacity for 1,500 passengers and 300 vehicles.

The ship has 120 cabins and a VIP lounge with reclining and ergonomic seats. In addition, it is equipped with a large terrace with a swimming pool, solarium and outdoor bar, a self-service restaurant, a bar-cafeteria, a gift shop, and a gym, children's area, and pet-friendly cabins.

Furthermore, Baleària Canarias connects Fuerteventura with Lanzarote via the Volcán de Tindaya ferry between the ports of Playa Blanca and Corralejo.

On the other hand, the ship Josefina de la Torre, with capacity for 4,000 linear meters of cargo, significantly increases the weekly transport capacity of goods from the islands to the port of Cádiz. On routes from the peninsula, the shipping company also operates with another exclusive cargo ship, the Villa de Tazacorte, as well as with the passenger and cargo ferry Volcán de Tinamar. Thus, Baleària Canarias will connect Cádiz with Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria three times a week and twice with Santa Cruz de La Palma and Arrecife.

The shipping company's president, Adolfo Utor, highlighted that "with this service schedule and the incorporation of this high-capacity ship, Baleària Canarias' position as a reference operator in roll-on/roll-off cargo transport is consolidated, and as the main shipping company in the primary sector, guaranteeing a reliable and sufficient offer in the export of Canarian fruit and vegetables, especially bananas and tomatoes."

The new ship Josefina de la Torre, built in 2023 and with capacity for 280 trucks, provides capacity, technology, and energy efficiency, reinforcing Baleària Canarias' leadership in this traffic. With a length of 209 meters, it is also the ship with the largest number of refrigerated cargo units that has operated in the Canary Islands, as the electrical outlets have been increased to 230 to guarantee the refrigeration of agri-food and perishable products. This exclusive cargo ship will serve Tenerife, La Palma, and Gran Canaria weekly. The ship is named in homage to Josefina de la Torre, a member of the Generation of '27, and one of the most multifaceted and unique figures in Canarian literature and arts of the 20th century.

For its part, the other ship dedicated to the transport of goods, the Volcán de Tazacorte, operates a weekly service from Cádiz with Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Tenerife and La Palma.

Regarding combined cargo and passenger services, Baleària Canarias has expanded its connections between Cádiz and the archipelago to guarantee territorial connectivity and reinforce passenger mobility between the peninsula and the islands. The ferry Volcán de Tinamar offers a weekly connection to Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote, departing on Tuesdays on the Cádiz-Arrecife-Las Palmas de Gran Canaria route, and on Saturdays between the peninsula and the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Likewise, passengers from La Palma and La Gomera can travel to the port of Los Cristianos by fast ferry and connect with Santa Cruz de Tenerife to Cádiz. In both cases, for passengers traveling without a car, the shipping company provides a free bus service.
