A lively nightlife, compared to relaxing activities such as golf or sport fishing. A wide range of hotels, compared to interesting art and culture centers. Crystalline and paradisiacal waters in which to swim in harmony, compared to beaches with strong waves, ideal for surfing and windsurfing. In short, the wise combination of rest and leisure is one of the great values of Lanzarote.
As if that were not enough, the island is part of the beautiful Canary archipelago, one of the main national tourist attractions. In 2016 alone, the region attracted 13.3 million foreign tourists, according to data published by the National Institute of Statistics (INE). It is the Spanish destination preferred by international travelers, only behind Catalonia. This fact, beyond endorsing the islands' offer, represents a goldmine for those who have a property there. Let's think, for example, that buying an apartment in Lanzarote at haya.es allows you to leisurely enjoy all the attractions of the place, but also rent it to British or German visitors (the most common in the Canary Islands).
On the other hand, the natural wealth of Lanzarote is a good reason to live there. UNESCO declared the island a Biosphere Reserve, and in it we find protected areas such as the Timanfaya National Park, and unique routes such as the Route of the Volcanoes. Likewise, residents have the possibility of getting closer to the nearby Chinijo Archipelago, a natural space made up of the island of La Graciosa and several islets.
In conclusion, a good idea to enjoy the island at our own pace is to acquire a property there. Those interested usually visit specialized real estate market websites (Fotocasa, Idealista, Vibbo), as well as agency portals for the sale of assets (Look and Find, Re/Max, HZ Canteras). Among the latter we find Haya Real Estate, a company that markets interesting opportunities, both in Lanzarote and in the rest of the Canary Islands. In addition, and only until May 31, on its website you can find more than 450 homes with discounts in the Canary archipelago.
Thus, on the Haya portal we find a useful search engine by criteria, through which to find our ideal apartment in Lanzarote. In this way, we located a second-hand apartment, with 73 m2, two bedrooms and located in the town of Yaiza, for sale for €111,320. We also came across another apartment, this time in the capital (Arrecife), with three bedrooms and 89 m2, and with a price of €73,461 (more than €11,000 discount on the original cost). Finally, in San Bartolomé we found a second-hand home, with 102 m2 and for sale for €100,000 (a 9% discount on the previous price).
Finally, living in Lanzarote is the best way to visit its best places of interest: from the Volcanes Natural Park to the so-called jameos de agua (labyrinths of caves and volcanic tubes). Likewise, the island houses important museums, such as the Monument to the Peasant or the Tanit ethnographic museum. It also has attractive corners (see the Cactus Garden or the Cueva de los Verdes) and, as already mentioned, dream beaches (those of Papagayo, among others).
