This year the congress addressed the importance of "management skills" in family businesses and was attended by experts such as Bruno Hallé of Cushman & Wakefield, David Mora (Emoturismo and Basque Culinary Center), and Dimple Melwani, CEO of Tourism of Tenerife. These professionals provided a "global and specific context" for the Canary Islands on the evolution and trends of the tourism sector.

Practical experiences of important family tourism companies in the Canary Islands were shared, with testimonies from representatives such as José Díaz of Artiem Hoteles, José Fernando Cabrera of Grupo Golf Resort, and Francisco Javier Zamorano of Group Bahía del Duque.
