Next Friday, September 6, at 6:30 p.m., in the halls of the Hotel Lancelot in Arrecife, the free talk/conference "Myths and Realities of Human Nutrition" will take place, organized by the herbalist El Alquimista (Arrecife)
This conference begins by raising three questions: Is cow's milk suitable for human consumption? / Are calories an objective measurement value? / Can vitamin deficiency cause diseases?
During the talk, the habits and myths that determine our daily consumption of food and food supplements will be analyzed. The origin of these foods and their previous manipulation before reaching our tables and the effect it has on our health and quality of life will also be taken into account.
The main objective of this talk is to inform about the correct and personalized selection of our foods and supplements. Also, advise the public to achieve a balanced, satisfactory and healthy intake of the nutrients they need.
The main speaker at this talk will be Dr. Gerardo Guasch, a naturopath, issued by the European Foundation for Alternative Medicines. Guasch has a degree in Biological Sciences, a degree in Clinical Psychology, a doctorate in Pedagogy, with the University Teaching category of Tenured Professor and with more than 32 years of clinical and teaching experience and a trajectory of 15 years in natural medicine treatments, naturopathy, aromatherapy, relaxation techniques and alternative therapies.
